Job Description: The Senior Process Engineer shall demonstrate the capacity for confirmation, preparation, and review of documents before their submission for approval.
Essentially, the Senior Process Engineer shall:
• Be responsible for executing designs and calculations which are technically correct on all assigned project work.
• Prepare and update project documents.
• Prepare and update P&IDs, PEFS plus associated data sheets.
• Generate CTR from project Scope of Work (SOW).
• Carry out process calculations using the appropriate software.
• Carry out process simulations/studies and prepare reports using appropriate software.
• Ensure that inputs to documents are properly verified against source.
• Prepare and review manhour and manpower forecasts.
• Control cost and schedule as per approved CTR.
• Follow up on the Master Document Register, Issue Register, Interface Register, Constructability Issue Register, Design Progression & Change Log, etc., liaising with respective leads.
• Prepare weekly reports on progress, in line with the MDR.
• Address all non-conformities.
Required qualifications and Experience:
• 10 years of experience in Engineering practice; most of the which has been spent in the Oil & Gas / Petrochemical Industry.
• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Civil, Chemical, Electrical, or equivalent as applicable.
• COREN Registered.
• In-depth knowledge of ISO, API, ASME, ANSI, MSS, ASHRAE, etc. Design codes and standards as applicable in Oil and Gas petrochemical operations.
