WE’RE HIRING | SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER – NIGERIA

Employment Type : Contract

Work Mode: Onsite/Hybrid

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Project Manager to lead and deliver complex technology and business projects from initiation through successful completion.

The role will be responsible for end-to-end project planning, execution, stakeholder management, resource coordination, risk management, and project governance, ensuring that projects are delivered within agreed scope, timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related discipline.
• 7–10 years of relevant project management experience**, preferably within an IT, technology, banking, fintech, telecommunications, or enterprise environment.
• Proven experience managing complex technology or business projects from initiation to completion.
• Professional certification such as **PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum**, or an equivalent project management certification is highly desirable.
• Relevant professional certification in technology or business management is an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead the end-to-end management and delivery of complex technology and business projects.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, milestones, budgets, and resource requirements.
• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, dependencies, and success criteria.
• Establish and maintain appropriate project governance structures, processes, and reporting mechanisms.
• Ensure projects are delivered within agreed timelines, budgets, scope, and quality standards.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and maintain timely communication on project progress, challenges, risks, and key decisions.
• Facilitate project meetings, workshops, steering committee meetings, and project status reviews.
• Resolve stakeholder concerns and escalate critical issues appropriately.
• Lead cross-functional project teams comprising developers, business analysts, QA professionals, infrastructure specialists, UI/UX designers, vendors, and other technical resources.
• Clearly communicate project objectives, responsibilities, timelines, and expected outcomes to project teams.
• Monitor team performance and address issues affecting productivity, collaboration, and delivery.
• Track project progress against approved plans, milestones, budgets, and KPIs.
• Identify and manage project risks, issues, dependencies, constraints, and resource gaps.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including action logs, decision logs, RAID logs, project plans, and status reports.
• Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions where necessary.
• Provide regular project status reports to management and key stakeholders.
• Ensure appropriate change control processes are followed and project scope changes are properly assessed and approved.
• Ensure projects comply with organisational policies, project management standards, regulatory requirements, and applicable industry standards.
• Ensure required approvals, sign-offs, and project gates are obtained at the appropriate stages.
• Drive successful project closure, including documentation, lessons learned, handover, and stakeholder sign-off.
