We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Junior Accountant to support the Finance team in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting procedures. The ideal candidate will assist with day-to-day accounting activities, financial reporting, reconciliations, and statutory compliance while demonstrating integrity and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities (JD)

• Prepare and process daily financial transactions.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and financialdocumentation.
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annualfinancial reports.
• Reconcile bank statements and company accounts.
• Process invoices, payments, receipts, and expenseclaims.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivableactivities.
• Prepare journal entries and update the general ledger.
• Support payroll processing and statutory remittanceswhere required.
• Monitor petty cash and ensure proper documentation.
• Assist with budget preparation and expense tracking.
• Support internal and external audit exercises.
• Ensure compliance with company financial policies andapplicable accounting standards.(GAAP)
• Perform other accounting and administrative dutiesassigned by management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1-2 year of accounting experience . (Internsip or NYSC experience may be considered)
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP)
• Solid understanding of GAAP, the accounting cycle, and basic financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement).
• Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to accuracy.
