Job Description
Reports To Managing Director / Chief Executive Officer



Location: Ogidi, in Anambra State



Key Responsibilities



• Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company's objectives.

• Plan manpower requirements and oversee recruitment, selection, and onboarding.

• Maintain employee records and HR documentation.

• Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks.

• Manage probation, confirmation, promotion, transfers, and employee exits.

• Coordinate payroll administration with the Finance Department.

• Administer employee compensation, benefits, leave, and welfare programs.

• Oversee performance management and annual staff appraisals.

• Promote employee engagement, motivation, and retention.

• Manage disciplinary procedures, grievance handling, and conflict resolution.

• Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.



Training and Organizational Development



• Identify training needs across all departments.

• Develop and coordinate annual training plans.

• Organize induction programs for new employees.

• Coordinate GMP, GDP, SOP, Health & Safety, and regulatory compliance training.

• Maintain complete employee training records.

• Evaluate training effectiveness and competency development.



Administration Management



• Supervise all administrative operations of the company.

• Manage office facilities, utilities, security, housekeeping, transportation, and reception services.

• Coordinate procurement of office supplies and administrative materials.

• Oversee maintenance of office equipment and facilities.

• Ensure efficient document management and records retention.

• Coordinate travel arrangements, accommodation, and visitor management.

• Manage company assets assigned to employees.



Regulatory Compliance



• Ensure HR and administrative compliance with pharmaceutical regulatory requirements.

• Maintain personnel files required for GMP inspections.

• Support NAFDAC, WHO-GMP, PIC/S GMP, ISO, and customer audits.

• Ensure all employees receive mandatory regulatory and GMP training.

• Maintain training matrices and competency records.



Health, Safety, and Environment HSE



• Support implementation of workplace health and safety programs.

• Coordinate employee medical examinations where required.

• Participate in emergency preparedness and safety awareness activities.

• Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety requirements.



Leadership and Management



• Supervise HR Officers, Administrative Officers, Receptionists, and other support staff.

• Develop departmental budgets and monitor expenditures.

• Prepare monthly HR and administration reports.

• Recommend continuous improvement initiatives.

• Participate in management meetings and strategic planning.



Qualifications



• Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Public Administration, or a related field.

• Master's degree is an added advantage.

• Professional certification such as CIPM, SHRM, CIPD, HRCI, or equivalent is preferred.



Experience



• Minimum of 5–10 years of progressive HR and administrative experience.

• At least 3 years in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment is preferred.

• Experience supporting GMP-regulated manufacturing operations.
