JOB SUMMARY

Supports the finance, accounting, and corporate finance functions across the assigned Group’s subsidiaries. Ensures accurate financial reporting, sound financial management, and compliance with IFRS, statutory requirements, and internal policies. Responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, preparing financial reports, supporting month-end and year-end close processes, and assists with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, financial analysis, and corporate finance activities.

Supports effective cost control and the maintenance of strong internal controls.

Works closely with the head of treasury & tax and cross-functional teams, and provides financial insights that support business performance, strategic decision making and long-term growth across the group.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Financial Accounting & Reporting

· Manages the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets accounting.

· Prepares journal entries, accounts reconciliations, and supports month-end and year end closing activities.

· Prepares accurate financial statements, management reports, and schedules in compliance with IFRS.

· Maintains complete, accurate, and audit-ready financial records across assigned subsidiaries.

· Supports statutory reporting and ensures timely submission of financial information.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Corporate Finance

· Supports the preparation of annual budgets, financial forecasts, and business plans.

· Monitors budget performance and provides variance analysis to support management decision-making.

· Prepares financial models, business cases, and investment analyses to support corporate finance initiatives.

· Supports capital allocation, funding requirements, and strategic financial planning across the Group.

· Provides financial insights and performance reports to support business growth and profitability.

Treasury & Cash Flow Management

· Supports daily treasury operations, including cash flow monitoring and liquidity

· management.

· Prepares cash flow forecasts and working capital reports.

· Assists in managing banking relationships, funding arrangements, and treasury documentation.

· Monitors receivables, payables, and cash positions to optimize liquidity.

· Supports financing, investment, and capital management activities as required.

Project Finance & Financial Analysis

· Monitors project costs and financial performance across assigned subsidiaries.

· Supports project budgeting, cost control, and profitability analysis.

· Collaborates with project, operations, and procurement teams to ensure accurate cost allocation and financial reporting.

· Prepares project financial reports and provides analysis to support operational and commercial decisions.

· Identifies financial risks and recommends actions to improve project performance.

Compliance and Audit

· Ensures compliance with IFRS, tax regulations, statutory requirements, and group financial policies.

· Supports internal and external audits by preparing schedules and provides required documentation.

· Assists with statutory filings, tax compliance, and regulatory reporting.

· Supports the implementation of audit recommendations and ensures timely resolution of audit queries.

Systems, Process Improvement & Stakeholder Management

· Utilizes ERP and financial systems to process transactions and generates financial reports.

· Supports the automation and continuous improvement of finance processes and reporting.

· Collaborates with treasury, tax, procurement, operations, projects, and other business units to ensure financial alignment.

· Contributes to the development of financial policies, reporting frameworks, and process improvements.

· Performs other finance, accounting, treasury, and corporate finance responsibilities as assigned by the head of treasury & tax.

EDUCATION

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics,

or related discipline.

· ACA, ACCA, or CPA is preferred.

· Membership in relevant professional accounting bodies is an advantage.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

· 7–10 years of progressive experience in accounting, finance, or financial reporting roles.

· Strong exposure to project-based accounting, infrastructure finance, construction, oil & gas, or capital-intensive environments is highly desirable.

· Experience working with multiple cost centres, project entities, or complex financial structures is an advantage.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

· Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and reporting standards.

· Knowledge of project finance structures including EPC, BOT, DBFO, concessions, and O&M models.

· Understanding of tax compliance, statutory reporting, and audit requirements.

· Strong grasp of cost control, financial planning, and treasury management.

· Awareness of infrastructure project financial cycles and funding mechanisms

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

· Strong proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).

· Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (financial modelling, pivot tables, analysis tools).

· Strong understanding of IFRS, financial reporting standards, and audit processes.

· Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis tools.

· Ability to interpret complex financial data and generate actionable insights
