Role Description The Construction Project Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Ibadan, responsible for leading and coordinating construction projects from planning through completion. This role involves developing project plans, timelines, and resource allocations; supervising site activities; and ensuring all work complies with design specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
The Construction Project
Manager will manage budgets, track costs, and prepare progress reports, while liaising with clients, consultants, vendors, and site teams to resolve issues and keep projects on schedule. Day-to-day tasks include overseeing contractors and site workers, conducting site inspections, managing quality control, and implementing risk mitigation measures. The role also requires maintaining accurate documentation, supporting bid preparation, and contributing to continuous improvement of project delivery processes.
Qualifications
• Candidates should possess skills in Construction Project Management and Construction Management to oversee end-to-end delivery of civil and building projects.
• Candidates should possess skills in Project Management and Project Coordination to plan, organize, and monitor project activities and stakeholder communication.
• Candidates should possess skills in Budgeting to develop, manage, and control project costs and financial forecasts.
• Relevant academic background such as a degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Building Technology, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience managing construction sites, with strong knowledge of Nigerian building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Strong leadership, team management, and problem-solving abilities, with effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in project management tools and basic MS Office; familiarity with construction scheduling software is an advantage.
• Ability to work on-site in Ibadan, handle multiple projects, and adapt to changing project demands and timelines.
