About the Role
• We are seeking an organised, empathetic, and detail-oriented Human Resources Executive to manage our core people operations, talent acquisition, and employee relations.
• In this role, you will be responsible for creating an engaging work culture, streamlining HR processes, and supporting team members across their entire lifecycle from recruitment and onboarding to performance reviews and offboarding.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding:
• Draft job descriptions, post vacancies on local job boards/social platforms, and manage end-to-end recruitment pipelines.
• Screen resumes, conduct preliminary phone/video interviews, schedule department interviews, and assist with candidate selection.
• Design and execute seamless onboarding programs for new hires, ensuring they receive necessary equipment, tools, and training materials.
Employee Relations & Culture:
• Act as a trusted, neutral point of contact for staff inquiries, feedback, and workplace conflict resolution.
• Organize team-building initiatives, wellness programs, and staff recognition events to maintain high morale and retention.
• Maintain up-to-date staff handbooks and ensure clear communication of internal policies and workplace expectations.
Performance Management & Learning Development:
• Coordinate quarterly and annual performance appraisal cycles, supporting managers with evaluation frameworks and KPIs.
• Identify skill gaps across departments and coordinate internal or external training and professional development programs.
HR Administration & Compliance:
• Maintain accurate, confidential employee records (contracts, leave tracking, performance files, and HMO details).
• Liaise with finance/operations to ensure timely payroll processing, statutory deductions (PAYE, Pension, NHF), and benefits administration.
• Ensure organization-wide compliance with Nigerian Labour Law and relevant workplace regulations.
Qualifications and Skills
• Experience: 2-4 years of generalist HR experience within a fast-paced small business, startup, or professional services environment in Nigeria.
• Education & Certification: Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related fields. Associate membership with CIPM (Chartered Institute of Personnel Management) or HRCI is a strong advantage.
• Knowledge Base: Firm understanding of Nigerian Labour Law, statutory payroll deductions, and workplace compliance standards.
