Job Summary
• The Senior Analyst will have particular responsibility for leading Sage Grey Finance's Commercial Paper programme, including programme development, investor mobilisation, transaction structuring, stakeholder engagement, issuance execution, refinancing and post-issuance management.
• The role will serve as a senior representative of Sage Grey Finance in engagements with institutional investors, Development Finance Institutions DFIs, pension funds, insurance companies, banks, asset managers, government institutions, capital market operators, professional advisers and other strategic stakeholders.
Core Mandate
The Senior Analyst, Corporate Funds & Capital Markets shall have overall responsibility for:
• Leading the Company's Commercial Paper programme and other capital market transactions.
• Developing and executing Sage Grey Finance's corporate fundraising and capital mobilisation strategy.
• Building and managing relationships with institutional investors and strategic funding partners.
• Originating and structuring funding and investment opportunities.
• Leading engagements with DFIs, government institutions and other development finance partners.
• Structuring and raising capital for Sage Grey-sponsored investment funds.
• Supporting the management and oversight of investment funds established by Sage Grey Finance.
• Developing and maintaining a strong pipeline of funding, investment and capital market transactions.
• Providing market intelligence and strategic funding recommendations to the Management.
• Ensuring that the Unit contributes meaningfully to the Company's revenue, profitability and strategic growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Paper & Capital Markets:
The Senior Analyst shall have overall responsibility for Sage Grey Finance's Commercial Paper programme and related capital market activities.
Responsibilities include:
• Lead the development, implementation and ongoing management of the Company's Commercial Paper programme.
• Develop the strategy and issuance calendar for the CP programme.
• Lead the establishment, renewal and maintenance of the CP programme and associated documentation.
• Manage relationships with Issuing Houses, Arrangers, Trustees, Solicitors, Rating Agencies, Registrars, Auditors and other transaction advisers.
• Oversee regulatory and transaction requirements relating to CP issuances.
• Lead the preparation and review of:
• Programme Memoranda
• Information Memoranda
• Pricing Supplements
• Term Sheets
• Investor Presentations
• Teasers
• Board and management papers
• Regulatory submissions
• Lead investor mobilisation and subscription efforts for CP issuances.
• Develop and maintain relationships with eligible institutional investors.
• Lead investor roadshows, meetings, calls and transaction presentations.
• Monitor investor appetite, pricing expectations, tenor preferences and market liquidity.
• Lead commercial discussions around transaction structure, pricing and tenor within approved mandates.
• Oversee subscription, allotment, settlement and closing processes.
• Monitor outstanding CP obligations and maturity profiles.
• Develop and execute appropriate refinancing and rollover strategies.
• Monitor utilisation of CP proceeds in accordance with approved use of funds.
• Provide regular reports to the management on the performance and outlook of the CP programme.
• Identify opportunities to expand the Company's capital market activities into corporate bonds, private placements and other debt instruments.
Institutional Investor Relations:
The Senior Analyst shall lead Sage Grey Finance's institutional investor engagement strategy:

• Represent Sage Grey Finance at relevant capital market, investment and institutional forums.
Fund Raising & Capital Mobilisation:
The Senior Analyst shall lead the mobilisation of capital from local and international sources:

• Identify and evaluate potential sources of capital.
• Develop funding strategies aligned with the Company's capital requirements and investment objectives.
• Lead engagement with institutional investors, DFIs, development partners and private capital providers.

Development Finance & Government Engagement:
The Senior Analyst shall lead strategic engagement with DFIs, government institutions and development partners:

• Develop funding frameworks for infrastructure, industrialisation and sector-focused programmes.

• Develop strategic partnerships between Sage Grey, government institutions and development finance providers.
Fund Structuring & Capital Raising:
The Senior Analyst shall lead the development and capitalisation of investment funds established or sponsored by Sage Grey Finance:

• Lead the development of new fund concepts and investment strategies.
• Develop fund investment theses, target returns, risk parameters and capital requirements.

The Senior Analyst shall provide senior management with actionable intelligence on capital markets, funding and investment opportunities:

• Monitor developments in debt and equity markets.
• Track DFI programmes and government funding initiatives.

• Monitor regulatory and economic developments affecting the Company's funding activities.

Team Leadership & Functional Management:
The Senior Analyst shall lead the Corporate Funds & Capital Markets team and shall:
• Establish the organisational structure and staffing requirements of the Unit.
• Define roles, responsibilities and performance expectations.
• Develop team objectives and KPIs aligned with the Company's strategic objectives.
• Allocate transactions and workstreams across the team.
• Review the quality, progress and commercial viability of transaction deliverables.

The Senior Analyst shall provide strategic and commercial leadership for the Corporate Funds & Capital Markets function:

• Identify new markets, funding sources, investor segments and capital market opportunities.
• Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of funding mandates, investment opportunities and capital market transactions.
• Identify opportunities to diversify Sage Grey's sources of capital.
• Develop strategic partnerships with institutional investors, DFIs, government entities and other funding partners.
• Identify opportunities for new financial products, funds and investment vehicles.
• Monitor market developments and recommend strategic responses to management.
• Provide regular reports to the management on business performance, pipeline, capital mobilisation, transactions and key risks.
• Advise the management on capital structure, funding strategy, investor appetite, pricing and market positioning.
• Develop initiatives that increase the Company's recurring and sustainable funding base.

Requirements
The ideal candidate should possess:
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• Must have 5–8 years of relevant experience in corporate finance, investment banking, treasury, capital markets, fund management, financial advisory or institutional funding.
• Demonstrable experience in Commercial Paper, debt capital markets, institutional fundraising or structured finance.
• Professional qualification such as ICAN, ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent is an advantage.
• Demonstrable transaction origination and execution experience.
• Strong understanding of the Nigerian capital markets and financial services ecosystem.
• Experience engaging institutional investors, banks, DFIs and professional transaction advisers.
• Strong financial modelling and transaction analysis skills.
• Excellent understanding of financial instruments, funding structures and investment products.
