JOB VACANCY: ACCOUNTING INTERN
Enchanted Media Consult (EMC) is seeking a Accounting Intern to support our Corporate Services and Nigeria Market Entry Desk. This role is designed for an Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related student who is interested in understanding the financial, tax, compliance, and economic considerations involved in setting up and operating a business in Nigeria.
The intern will support research and analysis that helps both Nigerian and foreign businesses understand the costs, requirements, and commercial realities of entering the Nigerian market.

Key Responsibilities
Tax & Compliance Research
Research tax requirements applicable to businesses operating in Nigeria. Research
Tax Identification Number (TIN)requirements.
Conduct company tax and corporate taxation research.
Research VAT requirements and compliance obligations.
Research payroll-related tax and compliance requirements.
Research statutory financial and business compliance obligations.
Compare the costs and financial implications of establishing different business structures in Nigeria.
Prepare tax, compliance, and cost summaries for internal and client use.
Market Economics & Financial Analysis Conduct
market sizing and industry research.
Research industry financial trends and economic indicators.
Conduct competitor pricing and benchmarking research.
Research operating costs across different industries.
Develop cost-of-entry estimates for businesses entering Nigeria.
Assist with preparing Nigeria market-entry budgets.
Develop basic financial models, projections, and cost estimates.
Analyse pricing, startup costs, operating expenses, and other relevant financial factors.
Compare market-entry costs across industries and business models.
Support the development of financial insights for companies evaluating the Nigerian market.
Requirements
Currently studying Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
Basic understanding of accounting, taxation, and financial principles.
Strong numerical and analytical skills.
Strong research and information-gathering abilities.
Comfortable working with Excel or Google Sheets.
Ability to analyse data and present findings clearly.
Strong written communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Interest in business advisory, market research, taxation, financial analysis, or international business is an advantage.
