Job Role Description


Serve as the Subject Matter Expert SME for instrumentation, control systems, analyzers, and related maintenance processes, including cybersecurity controls. Provide technical guidance to maintenance teams, ensure compliance with Safety, Health & Environmental SHE requirements, and support equipment reliability and integrity. Apply advanced troubleshooting expertise, participate in design and constructability reviews, and support routine maintenance, turnarounds, and project activities.


Location: Lagos, Nigeria, with regular offshore visits.


What Will You Do?



• Support the cybersecurity, reliability, and integrity of Industrial Control Systems ICS through industrial automation and process control expertise.

• Conduct risk assessments, identify vulnerabilities and threats, and implement effective mitigation measures.

• Design, deploy, maintain, and enhance cybersecurity solutions across people, processes, and technology.

• Evaluate, test, and manage cybersecurity technologies throughout their lifecycle.

• Perform vulnerability management activities and reduce attack surfaces within ICS environments.

• Support incident detection, response, recovery, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Ensure compliance with applicable cybersecurity regulations, standards, and company requirements.

• Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain cybersecurity solutions, including IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and related infrastructure.

• Implement and sustain security controls based on ICSR risk and threat assessments.

• Assess risks using ICSR standards and support security controls across network interfaces, ICSR zones, and enterprise or external connections.

• Respond to cybersecurity incidents, assess operational impacts, and support system recovery.



About You | Skills & Qualifications



• HND in Instrumentation & Controls, City & Guilds Level 4 in Instrumentation, or an equivalent oil & gas apprenticeship qualification.

• Alternatively, a BSc in Engineering or a related science discipline with at least 5 years of verifiable ICSR technician experience in the oil & gas industry.

• Minimum 5 years of relevant ICSR technician experience.

• Must be a Nigerian citizen.

• Must have completed NYSC and hold a valid NYSC Discharge Certificate or Exemption Letter.



Preferred Qualifications & Experience



• Strong analytical, problem-solving, innovation, adaptability, and hazard-identification skills.

• Ability to influence and collaborate effectively with operations and maintenance teams.

• Strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder-management skills.

• FPSO experience preferred.

• Practical knowledge of instrumentation and mechanical systems, including troubleshooting, maintenance, transmitters, sensors, gauges, and control valves.

• Familiarity with Emergency Shutdown ESD, Fire & Gas F&G systems, and process safety principles.

• Experience with Distributed Control Systems DCS.

• Working knowledge of CMMS/SAP for notifications, work orders, and materials management.

• Ability to read and interpret electrical, instrumentation, and control logic diagrams.

• Technical knowledge of DCS, Emerson, Triconex, and PLC systems.

• Strong attention to detail, including equipment monitoring, fault diagnosis, maintenance reporting, and workplace hazard mitigation
