Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Entry Level Accountant role based in Lagos.
The Entry Level
Accountant will support daily accounting operations, including recording financial transactions, maintaining ledgers, and assisting with accounts payable and receivable. The role involves preparing basic financial reports, reconciling bank statements, and helping ensure compliance with internal financial policies and relevant regulations. The individual will collaborate with senior accounting staff to support month-end and year-end closing activities and help maintain accurate documentation for audits and internal reviews. The position also requires working closely with operations and logistics teams to align financial records with fulfillment activities and client accounts.
Qualifications
• Candidates should possess foundational accounting skills such as recording journal entries, maintaining general ledgers, and assisting with accounts payable and receivable.
• Candidates should possess skills in basic financial reporting, bank reconciliation, and support for budgeting and expense tracking.
• Candidates should possess strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in financial data.
• Candidates should possess proficiency with accounting software, spreadsheets (e.g., Microsoft Excel), and general office productivity tools.
• Candidates should possess effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Relevant academic qualification such as a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred; professional certification in progress (e.g., ACA, ACCA) is an advantage.
• Ability to learn quickly, adapt to a fast-paced international logistics environment, and follow established accounting procedures and controls.
• Prior internship or practical experience in accounting or finance is beneficial but not required for this entry-level role.
