About This Role Siemens Energy is recruiting a Commercial Project Manager (Job ID: 301038) for its Gas Services Business Unit in Lagos, Nigeria. Serving as the financial business partner to the Sales and Project Management teams, this full-time role manages all financial and commercial aspects of service orders throughout the project lifecycle—from proposal preparation and contract negotiations to Percentage of Completion (PoC) accounting, cash flow management, risk mitigation, and financial reporting.
Employment Type: Full-time (Remote/Flexible Work Options Available) Key Responsibilities Commercial & Bid Management: Review and negotiate financial terms of customer proposals and Master Frame Agreements; establish cost calculations and pricing strategies alongside Sales and Project Leads in accordance with PM@SE guidelines.
Project Financials & Accounting: Direct monthly revenue recognition under IFRS 15, manage project cash flows, track margins, prepare balance sheet reconciliations, execute project-related journal entries, and support statutory/internal audits.
Contract & Risk Control: Monitor performance guarantees, tax requirements, foreign exchange (FX) hedging, and insurance; quantify financial risks/opportunities and communicate mitigation strategies to management.
Stakeholder Reporting: Prepare financial status dashboards, present key performance metrics to executive leadership, and partner across engineering, supply chain, and client teams.
Requirements & Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or an equivalent discipline.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in commercial project management, corporate finance, or business administration—preferably within industrial, energy, or engineering sectors across full project lifecycles.
Language Requirements: Fluency in English AND Portuguese is required (a third language is an added advantage).
Technical Systems & Standards: Deep knowledge of IFRS 15, US GAAP, Percentage of Completion (PoC) accounting, general ledger, FX hedging, SAP, and advanced MS Excel.
