Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated Modern Trade Sales Representative to manage and grow our presence in modern retail outlets in Lagos. The successful candidate will be responsible for building relationships with retailers, achieving sales targets, and ensuring optimal product availability and visibility in stores.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with modern trade retailers, distributors, and key accounts.
• Execute sales plans and promotional activities to achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
• Monitor product availability, shelf space, and merchandising compliance in stores.
• Report market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to the sales manager.
• Coordinate with the marketing and supply chain teams to ensure timely product delivery and promotional support.
• Maintain accurate sales records, reports, and forecasts using CRM tools and other reporting systems.
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in FMCG sales, particularly in modern trade or retail environments.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with Lagos modern trade market is an advantage.
• Ability to travel within Lagos for store visits as required.
• Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software.
